Summer Programs for Students at the SDVC

The SDVC sponsored five students in 1997, two students in 1998 and two students in 1999 through the Student Research Apprentice Program. SDVC also sponsored one undergraduate student project through the McNair Scholars Program in 1997. The SDVC provides computer facilities and staff expertise to the participating students. The Student Research Apprentice Program This program was designed to provide under-represented or first generation high school students the opportunity to gain first hand experience in science, mathematics, engineering and other related science research, through an eight-week long summer project.
