Software for Students
Students enrolled in an accredited educational institution
(K-12 school, college, university) or full-time
instructors/faculty may purchase ESRI ArcView 1 year student
licenses. Students must provide proof of enrollment,
minimum part-time status and instructors must provide proof
of employment. There is a limit of one license per
customer.

Currently, UW instructors may now order at no charge, a
copy of the 1 year ArcView student
license for students enrolled in their GIS courses.
This is ArcView Student 1-year Timeout Software that
includes the ArcGIS Spatial Analyst, ArcGIS 3D Analyst,
ArcGIS Geostatistical
Analyst and ArcGIS Network Analyst extensions. The professor
must request software for his/her students and have it
shipped to a site license address for verification purposes.
Please submit only one quantity order per course please.
Packaging for the ArcView student timeout software will
have a 1-year timeout code. One code will open the ArcView and the extensions checked off in the
installation process. The software CD and documentation CD
are in a plastic multi-media holder (like you see with DVD
movies). Professors will be responsible for distributing the
software to their qualified students. No hard copy
documentation is included.
ESRI is currently honoring a promotion to provide this
timeout software free to students who are taking GIS courses
at a site license university.

Instructors may order complimentary desk copies of many
of the ESRI’s books through the online desk copy request

You are permitted to order 3 complimentary books per
semester.

Training courses (from 1 to 3 days) are available at the University of Wyoming for ArcGIS.

Spatial data for Wyoming, in ArcView and ARC/INFO format, is available through the
Wyoming Geographic Information Science Center's Data Clearinghouse.
The clearinghouse features data for Wyoming including: roads, cities, streams/lakes,
political boundaries, elevation, digital aerial photography, and many other themes.
ESRI's Arc Data is also
available to download, including world datasets, USA datasets, and other
sample data.
