This dataset contains information on the county boundaries and names for Wyoming mapped at a 1:100,000 scale.

Purpose:

This dataset was developed for the purpose of displaying 1:100,000-scale counties, also it has been used for clipping other data layers to specific counties.

The Surface Mangement Status Maps from which the counties were digitized have an accuracy of +/- 120 feet, according to USGS national mapping standards. Because some of the digitization was from folded or otherwise poor quality paper maps, there is a 5-8% range of error associated with this digital data, translating to approximately +/- 300 feet.
